| Well today was a good fathers day. Went to my grandparents in Monroe, LA and saw them. Watched Ice Age2 for the 1st time. Funny it was. Then drove back and watched The Rock. It was nice being with my grandparents dont see them too often. Hmmm well ya Ive decided I wish to try and presue(sp?) paintball while in the Marines. Atleast while in my training in mississippi and 29 palms....would be cool to get on the Marine team lol. But ya Im diein to come back come christmas. We must play paintball then. Ill try and teach everyone some military combat tactics then. Well off to see my moms parents adios | | |
| /yawn. Ive been doing really nothing on my leave and yet its the best time ive had for a bit. Im now ready to go back. Im doing nothing here but in the corps im doing something all the time. Out with new friends doing new things that not alot of people will ever get to experience. Boot camp itself was a great experience. Did it change me? ya but not drasticly like it did to my other Marines. Ive still got the same views. One reason I joined is cause Ive enjoyed my life when I was a kid and the freedom I was able to do unlike other country's. So well Im now doing my part to where kids of america can now have their freedom. For alot of the Marines and military members in general are doing the same purpose. And well if your agiasnt the war and troops being there then fine. Keep it to yourself tho. Why put them down. they are out their dieing to where you do not have to fear death at home. To where you can let your kids fun free outside in your neighborhood. So dont put down the ones that make you life better but instead take advantage of what they are giving you. Live each of those days to its fullest. Dont regret andything. Everything you do is done. some choices are bad and some are good. The only way to become a better person is to learn from them and move on. So go out see a friend or go out and just live life. dont sit at home. Go out side. The world is an awesome place. better yourself to be able to see more of it. My most relaxed and greatest time was on the beach in California just sitting on a rock watching my brothers play. I feel good with my decision to join and become a Marine. Anyways there I guess was a short ramble/rant from brett. Long story short live life everyday. Its really short. | | |
| Well ok here it is MCT(Camp Pendelton) for 1 month then ill go to 29 palms for 13weeks in the data communications basic field. Then ill be assigned a specific job under that field which will then take me to an Air Force Base in Mississippi for 36 weeks lol. So Im looking not going over seas or well anything for a good year. Which is cool cause after a years worth of training that I hope to do well in and so they will most likely keep me in my job field during my service. But ya seems like fun. Adios | | |
| Its been fun being out here on leave. Seeing people who at 1st dont even know who I am. It allows me to mess with them more now lol. I think today Im gonna go see ben and ryan. Ran my 4 miles today. was easier than before but still sucked. stupid ass texas being hot lol. Welp ill post more before I leave back to MCT. adios | | |
